Despite Atlanta’s 2020 shutdown last year, one of our favorite ATL beat-centric bands has managed to keep delivering the vibes Tempo Club loves.
Since 2018, they've been searching for their lost guide, a man named Safari Williams (SF). The band of jungle-faring explorers has managed to make the most of the wilderness that surrounds them.
Just like so many others, being stranded in the jungle of 2020 has allowed Safari Williams to explore sounds unknown.
We've had our eye on Safari Williams for years. If you time it right, you can find them being towed around ATL city streets on a trailer, playing infectious beats that stop onlookers in their tracks. Their sound screams to be sampled.
When we recorded Jungle Funk Vol. 1, it was a true Tempo Club cross-coast collaboration. Tim produced the session from Los Angeles, with Zach at Fat Tony's Studios recording Safari Williams in Atlanta. For each artist release, we mic them up to match the Tempo Club vibe and press record.
Pure Safari Williams cut on the floor and packaged into loops and one shots for you to grab and go.
We get to have fun! Tempo Club takes the session files and reimagines ways to flip these sounds into new samples.
You'll hear these and start creating tracks that stand out from the crowd without even trying.
